The life above
Father God, thank you for this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it.
Today's lead Word is from Colossians 3:2 (NKJV)
"Set your mind on the things above, not on things on the earth."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Today's devotional starts with a question, what do you have in your life that God gave you?
While you think of that answer, today's word is reminding us to set our minds on the things that are above. When we set our minds on the things above where God is, we will be able to have a better relationship with God and with the people around us. One of the ways you can set our mind on the things above is by reading your Bible, praying, being thankful for all that God has done for you and through you.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for all that You are and all that You have been to me. Thank you for You are teaching me to fix my eyes on the things that are above and not things on the earth in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Invitation to salvation: As children of God, we are only able to eat the bread of life when we have a personal relationship to know Jesus, the Son of God. This is because Jesus died for our sins and gives eternal life and by His stripes we were healed. When we receive Jesus Christ, God draws our hearts to His heart to enable us spend time with Him.
If this sounds like you, please say this prayer with me;
"Thank you Father God for sending Your One and Only Beloved Son Jesus Christ who died for my sins on the cross and who was raised from the dead so that I could have Life. I receive Him today as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."
Prayer: Father God, thank you for each child and family member that just said this prayer and received Jesus into their hearts. Thank you LORD God that You are keeping them this day and forever and nothing will snatch them out of Your loving hands in the name of Jesus, Amen.
