Today's devotional is a reminder that God knows everything about you and loves you. When God looks at you, you are one of His most precious possessions, and He would not trade you for anything in this world. Now because of God's great love for you, He decided to send Jesus.
When God sent Jesus to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16), God did not wait until we were on our best behaviour but He sent Jesus to die for our sins while were still making mistakes. Romans 5:8 (NKJV) says, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
God sent Jesus when there was nothing in our lives and actions that could ever make us good before His eyes. This is the reason that we can trust that nothing we do can make us right with God, or separate us from His love except what God has freely given to us through salvation found in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Invitation to salvation: The best gift that Jesus gave us is receiving salvation and eternal life which is a personal relationship knowing God as our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
If you would like to receive this free gift of God's salvation, please say this prayer with me:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that God sent His One and only Son who died for my sins and was raised from the dead so that I could have eternal life." - AMEN.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for salvation and redemption that we have freely received from Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. Thank you LORD for each child and family member that just said this prayer and received Jesus into their hearts. Thank you LORD God that You are keeping them this day and forever and nothing will snatch them out of Your loving hands in the name of Jesus, Amen.
