Do not worry
Philippians 4:6-7 (NiRV)
"Do not worry about anything. No matter what happens, tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to him.
Then God's peace will watch over your hearts and your minds. He will do this because you belong to Christ Jesus..."
Amen, thank you LORD.
In today's Word, God is reminding us that He deeply cares about us. Since God cares about everything in our lives, He does not want us to worry about anything. When you feel you are about to worry about anything, pause for a moment. Instead of worrying about an outcome or situation, God wants you to go to Him in prayer and tell Him about everything. Sometimes we pray before we eat, other times, we pray before we go to bed, and when we are at church.
However, do you know that you can also pray to God from anywhere and ask for His help anytime by simply telling Him about your day. This is because God's presence is with you everywhere you go. So, in this case God is reminding you to pray and tell Him everything that makes you feel worried. Is it about an exam? - Pray. Is it about your friends at school? - Pray. After you are done praying, give God thanks believing that He has granted the request that you prayed for. When you do this, God says His peace will guard and watch over your heart and mind because you are His child who belongs to Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Father God, thank you that I can freely come to You and share what is on my heart. I have been thinking about this...........................................(tell God what makes you feel worried) for some time now and I am handing it over to you in prayer because I trust You to give me help and guidance for my life. I thank you God that you are working everything out for my good and right now I receive Your peace and joy in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
After you have prayed to God, you may also want to share with your parents about this prayer request so they can pray with you and offer the help you may need, Amen.
