God forgets sin
Updated: Jul 12
Father God, we thank you for this new week. Thank you that today You are giving us understanding as we read the Word in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
The question today is how does God forgive? - The simple answer is by forgetting. God forgives our sin and wrongs by forgetting them.
Have you heard of a compass? - It is an instrument that people normally use for direction. The compass is made up of four (4) directions. That is the North, South, East and West. The LORD in Psalm 103:12 (NIrV) says;
"He has removed our sins from us. He has removed them as far as the East is from the West."
The above Word is using the directions on a compass to show how God forgives and forgets. That is, he has removed your sins as far as the East is from the West. Now, that is a big distance. So we see, that God's in His mercy and love forgives our sins and forgets them as well.
What does this mean for you? - God wants you to know that when you come to Him to ask for forgiveness of sins or for a mistake you may make, God wants you to always remember that He will forgive and forget the sin and wrongs that You have done. you, He also forgets the sin and mistakes you may have done.
Knowing this truth that ias based on God's world, means that God also expects you to do the same with someone who may have wronged you. When you forgive and forget a mistake that someone has done to you, this shows that you are truly a child of God.
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to have a personal relationship with God as your Father and His Son Jesus who died for our sins and receive eternal life - which means you get to be with God in heaven all your life, please say this prayer below:
"Thank you Father God for sending Jesus, Your One and Only Son to die for my sins. I receive Him today and forever as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."
