God forgives
Updated: Jul 9
Father God, we thank you for the blessing of a new day. Thank you that is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. We ask that You give us understanding and wisdom as we read today's Word in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Yesterday, we looked at God's love for everyone that is seen when He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world.
How did sin come into the world? - In the beginning when God created the world, He also made man and woman in His image as seen in Genesis 1:26. After God made man and woman, He also put them in the garden of Eden, a beautiful garden that was filled with many good trees of fruit and food. However, God instructed them to not eat fruit from one tree which was called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:7).
One day, the enemy and evil serpent came to tempt the woman and asks, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" (Genesis 3:1). The woman listened to the lies of the serpent and later on, she gave the forbidden fruit to her husband to eat. When Adam and his wife ate the forbidden fruit, they disobeyed God and this is how sin entered into the world.
When sin entered the world, God and man could no longer have a close relationship just like it was in the garden of Eden. You see, when Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, they were always in God's presence and very close to Him in everything they did. But when they disobeyed God's instruction, God had to remove them from the beautiful garden of Eden that He had prepared for them. So we see that sin separated man from God.
However, as much as the enemy used sin to separate man from God. God never stopped loving us because He is a loving and good Father. So many years later, God sends His beloved Son Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world. When you receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life, you become born again into God's Kingdom. When you become born again, it means your sins are forgiven by God. It also means that you receive everlasting life and will go to heaven because you are a child of God.
If you would like to receive God's love and mercy, where all your mistakes and sins are forgiven by God and to go to heaven, please say this prayer with me;
"Thank you Father God for sending Jesus, Your One and Only Son to die for my sins. I receive Him today as Lord and Saviour all the days of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."
