Today's lead Scripture is from Psalm 121:1-2 (NIrV)

  1. "I look up to the mountains. Where does my help come from?

  2. My help comes from the LORD. He is the Maker of heaven and earth."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today's devotional reminds us that God is always ready to help whenever we need Him.

However, the question is are you looking for God's help? You see, just like we can look to our parents to help us for example, maybe you need help with tying your shoe laces. God also wants us to look to Him for help.

In today's Scripture, the Psalmist says he looks to the mountains and where does his help come from? He concludes by saying that his help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth.

Seeing God as the Maker of heaven and earth means He is very powerful and there is no problem that God cannot solve. This is the reason that we always put our faith and trust in God.

Psalm 121:3 NIrV continues to say, "He won't let your foot slip. He who watches over you won't get tired." Can you imagine God not only helps you but He also does not get tired of helping, protecting and watching over your life.

Prayer: Father, thank you for the gift of my parents and family. Thank you as well for the gift of Your powerful help. I can call on Your help anywhere and everywhere because you are always willing and ready to help. Thank you God that every plan that the enemy had against me is destroyed because you always watch over me and you will not let my foot slip in the name of Jesus. Thank you God for always being ready to help me and may I always remember that I can call on You as my Helper all the days of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to have a personal relationship with God as your Father and His Son Jesus who died for our sins and receive eternal life - which means you get to be with God in heaven all your life, please say this prayer below:

"Thank you Father God for sending Jesus, Your One and Only Son to die for my sins. I receive Him today and forever as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."
