God is for you
Father God, thank you for this Word and we ask that You give us understanding to remember to use it everyday of our lives in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
In a game, there is usually two teams and in most cases as a supporter or fan, there is a team that you support. If you are the player of a sport, you have undergone training for days, months and sometimes years by a trainer and the goal is to always win the prize. As a player of sports, it is also encouraging to know that you have support behind you especially when you get into the game. But what happens when you get into a game, and the people you thought would support you like the fans are not supporting you? Would you stop playing the game?
Today's lead Word is from Romans 8: 31 (NLT) and says;
"What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?"
Amen, thank you LORD.
In the example above, if you are the player and walk into a crowd and the people start shouting mean things, that would be discouraging, right? - But if you take your eyes off the discouraging people and look where your trainer and your parents are seated, you will find them cheering you on.
God is the same way. God is reminding us today that His support for you will never change because He loves you. If people are saying mean and discouraging things, God says as long as He is on your side and your number One supporter, nothing and nobody can be against you so continue to do the right thing. The beauty about God is His mind never changes. This means that once God makes a promise, He is well able to keep it. So as you go through life, remember God's promise that He is for you and He is with you, cheering you on with His love for you as you live your life for His glory in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Prayer: Father God, thank you that You are a promise keeper and You keep all your promises concerning my life. Today, You share a promise that if you are for me, nothing can be against me. Thank you Father God that I live my life in the assurance of this promise that if you are for us, nothing can be against us so I put my trust and confidence in you as I read my Bible and pray, as I go to school, go to church, practice sports, study for my exams, do my homework, chores, as I help and be kind to everyone I meet and do any other thing that requires my attention in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: The best gift that Jesus gave us is receiving salvation and eternal life which is a personal relationship knowing God as our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
If you would like to receive this free gift of God's salvation, please say this prayer with me:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that God sent His One and only Son who died for my sins and was raised from the dead so that I could have eternal life." - AMEN.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for salvation and redemption that we have freely received from Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. Thank you LORD for each child and family member that just said this prayer and received Jesus into their hearts. Thank you LORD God that You are keeping them this day and forever and nothing will snatch them out of Your loving hands in the name of Jesus, Amen.
