God is mighty

In today's devotional, I want us to reflect on how mighty God is. Another word that can be used for mighty is powerful. God is so powerful that the Bible shows us in the story of creation how He created everything we see around us, the sun, the moon, the stars, the animals, the sea creatures, plants, rivers and lakes including man which is you and I in six (6) days.

Let's consider this Word in Isaiah 45:18 (NIrV)

"The LORD created the heavens. He is God. He formed the earth and made it. He set it firmly in place. He didn't create it to be empty. Instead, he formed it for people to live on. He says, "I am the LORD. There is no other LORD."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Can you imagine, everything we have around us both in the heavens and on earth, God created it in six days (Genesis 1:31) by the power of His Word. On the seventh day, God rested after He completed His work (Genesis 2:2) when He saw that it was very good.

Yesterday, we looked at how God is a promise keeper, that is when He says something, He will do it. Today, we also see that God's Word is powerful as everything in the universe was formed by the power of His Word.

Prayer: LORD God, we give you all the glory and praise Your holy name. May Your name be exalted over all the ends of the earth and may the power of Your Word be revealed in the name of Jesus, Amen. GLORY TO GOD, thank you LORD God.
