The heart

Father God, thank you for Your Word that gives life and light in our lives so we give you all the glory and praise in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Today's Word is coming from Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)

"And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all of your heart."

Amen, thank you LORD.

In today's devotional, we look at the word of the LORD coming to His people who were in a foreign land. In case, you are wondering, another word for seek is to look for something. But this looking is a serious kind of looking. So in this case, the LORD God is telling His people that they will look for Him and find Him when they search for Him with all of their heart. Child of God, God is a heart God and He likes it when we come before His presence to read His Word and pray to Him bringing all of our requests to Him.

At the same time, you do not always need to have a prayer request to seek God. But this should not stop you from seeking God. In such cases, you can simply read the Word, worship God and thank God for His goodness over you and for the lovely family and people He has put in your life. As a loving and good parent, God is a Father and He likes it when we His children come and spend time with Him.

Activity: Think of one way you can spend time with God in your own special way today.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for Your goodness and the relationship I have with You through Jesus Christ. Thank you Father that You do not play hide and seek for when I you seek with all of my heart, I will find You in the name of Jesus. Thank you Father God for You desire to spend time with me just like I do as well so I make time to worship You, to read my Bible and pray in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: As children of God, we are only able to seek God when we have a personal relationship to know Jesus, the Son of God. This is because Jesus died for our sins and gives eternal life and by His stripes we were healed. When we receive Jesus Christ, God draws our hearts to His heart to enable us spend time with Him.

"Thank you Father God for sending Your One and Only Beloved Son Jesus Christ who died for my sins on the cross and who was raised from the dead so that I could have Life. I receive Him today as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."

Prayer: Father God, thank you for each child that just said this prayer and received Jesus into their hearts. Thank you LORD God that You are keeping them this day and all the days of their lives and nothing will snatch them out of Your loving hands in the name of Jesus, Amen.
