My needs are met

Father God, thank you for the blessing a new morning and day. Right now, we ask for understanding and wisdom as we read the Word today in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Psalm 23:1 (NLT)

"The LORD is my Shepherd. I have all that I need."

Amen, thank you LORD.

In today's devotional, I would like for you to pause for a moment and think about a Shepherd - who they are and what they do.

Well, a Shepherd is someone who takes care of sheep. Sheep are known to be animals that are delicate in nature and because of this, they usually need direction and help. So the person who takes care of sheep is called a Shepherd. The Shepherd takes care of the sheep by watching over them and making sure nothing bad happens to them. The Shepherd also feeds the sheep, guides and gives direction to the sheep. Basically, we see that the sheep are able to live a good life because they follow a good Shepherd who loves to take care of them and meet all their needs.

Now, the sheep in the above Scripture is you and the LORD Jesus who is the Son of God is the good Shepherd who is leading you. Since you trust in the goodness of the Jesus as your Shepherd, you follow Him everywhere He leads you without worrying about tomorrow knowing in Him, all your needs are well taken care of.

Let us pray: Father God, thank you for sending Jesus who died for my sins and was raised from the dead to become my Shepherd. Thank you LORD that You are a good Shepherd who helps me by taking care of me and meeting my needs as well so I continue to put my trust in You. Thank you for Your goodness and lovingkindness concerning my life in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to be born again by receiving Jesus, God's Son who gives Life to everyone by forgiving all your sins and by His wounds, you are healed. Please say this prayer with me;

"Thank you Father God for sending Your One and Only Beloved Son Jesus Christ who died for my sins on the cross and who was raised from the dead so that I could have Life. I receive Him today as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."
