Our Peace
Updated: Sep 30
Dear God, thank you for Your Word that gives us knowledge and understanding as we read it in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD
We have been looking at who Jesus is. We looked at Jesus as our High Priest who makes prayers for our needs, needs we know and needs that we may not know we have because He knows everything concerning our lives. We also looked at Jesus as the Word of God who is in all things. We also looked at Jesus as our Friend Forever and at the LORD God as our Helper who is always ready to help us in time of need.
Today we are looking at Jesus as our Peace. John 14:27 (NKJV) says;
"Peace, I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Jesus is reminding us today that He is our peace. This means that we do not get peace from the things that we do, or from our environments, or from our best friends. When you become born again by receiving salvation, you become united with God as a Father through a relationship with Jesus. After you receive Jesus, everything and every blessing that Jesus has becomes yours. One of the blessings Jesus has given us is His peace. At the same time, the blessing of His peace is unique. The blessing of Jesus' peace is unique because it does not depend on the circumstances happening around you. Jesus' peace is with you both in the good and bad times. An example, is you have a pet at home. But one day, you get back from school only to find him/her missing. This would make you sad because you are worried and do not where to start looking. As much as this would be sad, Jesus promises to give you His peace. Suddenly, You will realize that Jesus will give you His peace. This peace does not change the situation that your pet is missing but you will have the peace of Jesus on the inside of You as He helps you to look for your missing pet.
MEMORIZE: JESUS PEACE IS WITH ME BOTH IN THE GOOD AND BAD TIMES.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus for all that You are to me. Thank you Jesus for Your peace that You have given to me that does not depend on anything happening around me. Thank you LORD that You are forever guarding my heart and mind with Your peace in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Invitation to salvation: The best gift that Jesus gave is by laying down His life for us to receive salvation and eternal life which is a personal relationship knowing God as our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
If you would like to receive this free gift of God's salvation, please say this prayer with me:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that God sent His One and only Son who died for my sins and was raised from the dead so that I could have eternal life." - AMEN.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for salvation and redemption that we have freely received from Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. Thank you LORD for each child and family member that just said this prayer and received Jesus into their hearts. Thank you LORD God that You are keeping them this day and forever and nothing will snatch them out of Your loving hands in the name of Jesus, Amen.
