Remember the LORD's name

Psalm 20:7 (NKJV)

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God."

Amen, thank you LORD.

How many know that God is powerful? I mean He created all the heavens and the earth, everything herb and tree and animals both on land and in the sea in exactly 6 days! (Genesis 1:31)

Today, a man called David was appointed by God to be king over God's people. Before he became king, he was faced with many enemies who were against Him so he prayed to God and said, "Some trust in chariots and some in horses but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. You see, chariots and horses were weapons of war that were used by rich and powerful nations. Almost anyone who had them was sure they would win their opponents regardless of who went up against them.

However, David chose to remember the power of His God. Despite all his enemies who may have had all the expensive and nice weapons of war, David was not afraid of them. Instead, David put his trust only in the name of the LORD because He understood the power that is found in name of the LORD. Previously, we saw that the name of Jesus has a lot of power when we put our faith in Him. When we remember the LORD and choose to walk in His ways of obedience in all things, He also remembers and takes care of us in all things - AMEN!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for Your presence that surrounds me. Thank you Father God, You already answer my prayers even before I pray so right now I take the name of the LORD and say thank you that my enemy is your enemy as well and all their horsemen and chariots are powerless because there is nothing that can stand against Your power that is found in the name of the LORD God. Thank you Father that with You on my side, nothing can come against me in the name of Jesus. Thank you LORD for he who the Son sets free is free indeed and the Son of God has made me free and every enemy has turned their backs on me in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
