Thank you God
Today, we are looking at a word we all hear frequently! This word is "thank you."
Often times, we say thank you to our parents and the people who do kind things for us because it shows we appreciate them.
However, do you know that God would also appreciate it when you said thank you to Him?
You see when you say thank you, it pleases God. At the same time, God does not want you to give Him thanks for only the good things that happen but He wants you to give Him thanks for the not so good things as well that you may not understand. When we say thank you to God even when we do not have all the answers, it shows that we trust Him because God is good and always desires to do good to us.
Testimony: I remember one time I was sad when I failed an exam and when I went to God in prayer, I gave Him thanks. Today, I am glad that what seemed like a bad thing at the time, God had better plans for me because He turned everything around for my good.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV)
"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Prayer: Today, we choose to be thankful in all things Father God. We choose to say thank you in both the good and the times we may not have all the answers because we trust You God. We thank you for our parents, family, schools, friends, church and we also say thank you for Your love for us. Thank you that we have food, a home to stay, clothes to wear, toys and friends to play with, running water in our homes that we use to bath and drink. Thank you Father God for taking care of us and protecting us everywhere we go. Thank you for giving us joy and strength to do all the tasks we need to do. Thank you for giving us the wisdom to get good grades. Thank you God that we are the heads and not the tails, above and not beneath in the name of Jesus. Thank you God for sending Jesus, Your One and Only Beloved Son who died for our sins - because of Jesus, our sins are forgiven, AMEN.
Something to think about....what is the meaning of a testimony?
A testimony is a memory of the good things that God has done for you.
Whenever you think of this memory, God wants you to give thanks to Him and to share it with other people as well to build their hope and faith in God's goodness.
