The gift of Jesus

James 1:18 (NKJV)

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Yesterday, we looked at prayer as a good and perfect gift that enables us to communicate with God.

Today's devotional is a reminder that God as a loving Father does not have bad gifts to give to any of His children. God is a good Father and one of the best gifts that He gave to you and the whole world was His Son Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world. John 3:16 (NKJV) says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." God did not want to be in heaven all by himself, with His Son and the angels. God thought of you and sent His Son Jesus. It was important that Jesus died for the sins of the world because sin separates us from God. So when Jesus died for all the sins of the world, He brought hope into the world because whoever has faith and believes in Christ would have their sins forgiven and get everlasting life where they are reunited in a personal relationship with God where He becomes their Father.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to be born again by receiving the perfect gift Jesus, God's Son who gives Life to everyone by forgiving all your sins and by His wounds, you are healed. Please say this prayer with me;

"Thank you Father God for sending Your One and Only Beloved Son Jesus Christ who died for my sins on the cross and who was raised from the dead so that I could have Life. I receive Him today as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."

IF YOU JUST SAID THIS PRAYER, CONGRATULATIONS! You are now a new creation and old things have passed away and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17) because you are now born of God - GLORY TO GOD, Amen.
