The Good Shepherd

Father God, thank you for the entrance of Your Word brings light and the light shines and the darkness had no power over it in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD

John 10:11 (NKJV)

"I am the good Shepherd, the good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today, we are looking at Jesus as the Good Shepherd. A shepherd is a person who looks after sheep by providing, guarding and protecting the sheep as they move from place to place. In this case, Jesus is the good Shepherd who gives His life for the sheep. As Jesus gave His life for you and I, it means that we are safe as God's children who are among His sheepfold. This is because Jesus, as the good Shepherd, took our place of death on the cross by dying for the sins of the world thereby giving to us eternal and everlasting life because we believe in His name. Jesus dying on the cross for the sins of the world shows the deep love and affection that God has for you and I that is found in His Son, Jesus. Since we know and trust in God's love for us that is found in Jesus Christ and as the light of the world, we can follow Jesus, our good Shepherd, everywhere He leads us for He will never leave us nor forsake us. AMEN.

Invitation to salvation: The best gift that Jesus gave is by laying down His life for us to receive salvation and eternal life which is a personal relationship knowing God as our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for salvation and redemption that we have freely received from Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. Thank you LORD for each child and family member that just said this prayer and received Jesus into their hearts. Thank you LORD God that You are keeping them this day and forever and nothing will snatch them out of Your loving hands in the name of Jesus, Amen.
