The Helper
Father, Lord of heaven and earth we thank you for You and for Jesus Christ. May You give us understanding as we read the Word together in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV)
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills - from whence comes my help?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Today, we are looking at Jesus as our Helper. This is important knowledge for you to keep in mind especially when you are going through something difficult. Let's take for instance you are in a test and you need help remembering some of the school work that you studied, the first thing would be to know that Jesus is with you as you write the test just like He was with you as you studied for the test. Remembering that God is with you helps you to relax because the Word of God tells us that; "He is an ever present help in time of need." (Psalm 46:1).
So now that you know this? - What will you do when you faced with a situation? First of all, you will remember that Jesus is with you. As LORD who made the heaven and earth, He is more than able to be your Helper and send you all the help that is required to take you out of that situation or to meet your need. After this, pray and make your needs known to Jesus. Always remember that no need or prayer is too small for God so pray about everything even something as small as looking for your earrings. The LORD will not only meet your needs but as Helper, He will also give you His peace as He helps you.
In Matthew 6:26-28, Jesus reminds us that if he can help and take care of the birds in the sky that fly with no care in the world and He dresses up the these flowers called lilies and makes them look beautiful, then how much more you His child whom He loves very much! - AMEN
Prayer: LORD Jesus, thank you that You are always with me and are my Helper in time of need. Thank you that I do not have to worry because my help comes from You LORD who made the heaven and earth. Thank you LORD that You are meeting all of my needs according to Your riches in glory in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Scripture to memorize is found in Psalm 46:11 (NKJV)
"The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: The best gift that Jesus gave is by laying down His life for us to receive salvation and eternal life which is a personal relationship knowing God as our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
If you would like to receive this free gift of God's salvation, please say this prayer with me:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that God sent His One and only Son who died for my sins and was raised from the dead so that I could have eternal life." - AMEN.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for salvation and redemption that we have freely received from Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. Thank you LORD for each child and family member that just said this prayer and received Jesus into their hearts. Thank you LORD God that You are keeping them this day and forever and nothing will snatch them out of Your loving hands in the name of Jesus, Amen.
