The LORD's peace
Today's Word is from 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NKJV)
"Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Today's lead Word shows us that the LORD God is our peace.
What is peace? - Peace may be a defined as an inner knowing of safety and quietness where there is no worry or fear.
While sometimes, it may be possible to do activities to help with having peace, it is important to remember that peace is a person and His name is Jesus. As we also saw in our meaning of peace above, peace is something that happens on the inside of us not on the outside. This shows that nothing on the outside can give us peace because peace in this world is only found in the LORD's salvation. When you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life (see invitation to salvation below), He gives you His peace which is a silent knowing that you are safe with Him and you do not have to be afraid or worried about anything.
When you know this, you will always experience the LORD's peace because you know and trust Jesus will always be at your side whenever you need Him. For instance, let's say sometimes you are afraid to go to bed alone at night. Psalm 121:3 (NKJV) re assures you of God's protection and peace and says, "He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber."
The meaning of slumber is a deep sleep. So the word of the LORD is saying to you, that God will not allow your foot to be moved and He will not sleep yet alone fall into a deep sleep because He is watching over you. Isn't it amazing to have the Creator of heaven and earth watching over you! So now you can peacefully go to bed at night because God stays up to watch over you so you can sleep and also enjoy your life when you wake up the next day.
Le us pray: Father God, thank you for sending Jesus who is my Prince of Peace. Thank you LORD for Your blessing of perfect peace in my life so I live my life joyfully and peacefully without fear because you watch over me as I go to bed, as I wake up and go about my day. Thank you LORD for Your presence that always goes with me everywhere I go, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to become a child of God and become born again into God's Kingdom where all of your sins are forgiven, you are also healed by Jesus' wounds and most importantly you receive the LORD' peace and joy and eternal life which is to be with God in heaven one day when you grow really old, please say this prayer below:
"Thank you Father God for sending Jesus, Your One and Only Son to die for my sins. I receive Him today and forever as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen.
