You are obedient

Updated: Jul 12

Father God, thank you for this is the day that You have made, a day that is beautiful, a day that is filled with laughter and joy, a day that is filled with good surprises and perfect gifts that You have prepared for us, we give you all the glory and praise God. Right now we ask that you give us understanding and wisdom as we read the Word. We also ask for the ability to share Your goodness with our friends as well in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Philippians 4:13 (NIrV)

"I can do all this by the power of Christ. He gives me the strength."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Do you know that when God created you, He looked at you and said you are His child who is created wonderfully and everything about you is beautiful (Psalm 139:14). As we have been seeing in previous posts, when God created everything, He saw that it was very good (Genesis 1:31). Yesterday, we also looked at a story of man called Noah who was obedient to God's command to build an ark that would protect him, his family, the birds and animals from a flood that was coming upon the earth.

Today, as a child of God, you also have the ability to obey God just like Noah did, amen.

John 3:16 says, "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life."

When you receive Jesus Christ into your life, your sins are forgiven and God promises that you will receive eternal life. Eternal life means that you will live forever with God in heaven. Eternal life also means that as God's child, heaven becomes your home just like it is God's home.

But before you get to heaven, there are many years of life you will be living here on the earth and in these years, God promises to be with you every moment of your life.

In addition, as you live these many years on earth before you get to heaven, God also gives you the ability to obey His commands and instructions just like Noah did. Always rememeber that God will never ask you to do something that He knows you do not have the ability to do. This applies to everyday tasks such as keeping your room clean, reading your bible and praying everyday, obeying God like He says in His Word, listening and obeying your parents and teachers, keeping your room tidy, going to school and doing your home work, helping and showing kindness to people, telling your friends about Jesus as well. These are some examples of ways you can be obedient to God with the ability and strength that He gives to you.

Prayer: Father God, thank you that obedience is easy and I do not have to worry or fear anything because You are always with me and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to have a personal relationship with God as your Father and His Son Jesus who died for our sins and receive eternal life - which means you get to be with God in heaven all your life, please say this prayer below:

"Thank you Father God for sending Jesus, Your One and Only Son to die for my sins. I receive Him today and forever as Lord and Saviour of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen."
