You mean a lot
Matthew 6:26 (NIV)
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
Amen, thank you LORD.
Have you ever wondered who takes care of the birds that fly in the air? In today's lead Scripture, Jesus is showing us the different ways that God is able to manage the life of everything He created which also includes animals, birds, insects, sea creatures and every other living thing which includes you as well. However, the LORD says that despite His ability to provide attention for the animals and birds, you are more valuable to God. Since you are valuable to God, He longs to take care of you and help meet all your needs as well.
What does it mean to be valuable? - I want you to think of a toy that you really like. If it is truly your favourite toy, you will make sure that you keep it well, you properly take care of it, you do not just give it to anyone to play with because it means a lot to you. This is the meaning of valuable. So when you value something, you treasure it. When God thinks of you and looks at you, you are definitely not a toy to play with, but you mean a lot to God and are precious in God's eyes.
Matthew 6:26 above reminds us that you are valuable to God. I believe this is so because when God created you, He beautifully made you with love and He desires to meet your every need.
Now that you know that God loves you and you mean a lot to Him, what good gift will God not give you? - I know not one. AMEN!
Let us pray: Father God, thank you that I mean a lot to you. Thank you for providing and taking care of all my needs in the name of Jesus. Thank you that You also give me the ability to love other people in the same way that You have loved me God in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
